A few slices of French salami with a fried egg on top. (Yes Susie ! I do all my breakfasts in goose fat.) This was accompanied by a cup of Kona coffee.
A thick blanket of snow covers here. So I invited two elderley ladies who are neighbours of mine around for breakfast. I asked them to make out their shopping lists while I was doing the Monty. I don't want them to slip on the frosty pavements.
A Full Monty.
Is basically a big fry up. (I DO use goose grease).
Cumberland sausages go in first - They contain a lot of meat.
Then streaky bacon.
Large French mushrooms (Not the button types)
Black pudding
Scalded toms - to get the skins off
Lastly - go in the free range eggs.
After breakfast I came back from the shops with the groceries these ladies had ask for !!!!!
I found that my house was spotless and these 2 ladies in their 80's had cleaned, dusted and hoovered everywhere.

No, no, no, Barry!
That was very kind and sweet and very smart of you...but you need a woman of your own age to dust off the 'other' bits.
Chicken salad sandwiches and a bottle of Diet Coke.
Don't get me wrong Helen. I very seldom have breakfasts unless there are freinds here. For me, it's usually a Kona coffee and some (boring) cornflakes.
Very seldom eat out, maybe once a month with family or friends in a restaurant.
For the toast, I took a slice of dried bread and spread it with butter and sprinkled on cinnamon sugar and then broiled (grilled) it til t was crispy and caramely.
The tooth is another matter.
I've recently had some dental work done and got a crown...or maybe it's called a cap?...on two front teeth that have always looked like fangs but with the crowns they look quite presentable. One was a bit loose and so, since the dentist wasn't available I took myself off to the pharmacy to see what they had to offer to glue it back on til my dentist appoitment next week.
I never made it o the pharmacy, because I found Freddy-the-Dentist in town, taking pictures of the flooding. He said to just stick it on with a piece of chewing gum and he'll see me next week (he's a funny guy).
This morning I thought I was crunching cinnamon toast and now the tooth has gone.
Poor Susie,
There is stuff you can buy in the pharmacist called Gutta Persia (Bet I havent spelt that right) It's a kind of strong porcelain and will keep loose teeth where they belong. It's also brilliant as a temporary filling, should you lose one of yours.
My brothers two grandchildren ,,,Luke age 10 and Lee age 8, stayed with me last night. The two little misters have sweet teeth and so we prepared breakfast together.
I melted the chocolate in a pyrex dish suspended in boiling water.
Mixed the cornflakes with some maple syrup (that makes these wee cakes more chewy.)
Added the chocolate, then turned the mixture out into tiny paper cases.
In this climate, the cakes are ready to eat in minutes. I've got a cold kitchen.
Served with a glass of semi- skimed milk.
Now they have gone home - - - My house seams like an empty echo chamber.
