Marvin is in a management position in the News8 newsroom now....not sure what his title is, but he's behind a desk now and no longer on-air.

He's been replaced by Melisa Uchida from Hot939's Wake up crew.
How'd I get so white and nerdy?

where is this girl from? saw her report on behind the scenes of the show "hawaii." sounds like she pronounced the word "polynesian" as "pile-of-nesian." and she interviewed a jewelry designer in her story, then was wearing the jewelry during her live shot. what happened to being objective and not becoming part of the story? of course, this is news 8, the same station where several months ago when krispy kreme opened up on maui, jodi, howard and russell were sharing a box of krispy kremes on the set when the doughnut company sent boxes to every station.

Kubota on KGMB -- wow. She was the wonderchild at KHNL, really liked by management. Probably, though, she wanted more face time. In that business, it's all about who sees you, so working behind the scenes, as it appeared she would be destined, wasn't her cup of tea. Too bad they all write like crap, or maybe they could become writers. Oh, but they don't have much of a market here, do they? Man, this place changes and swaps personalities and workers so many times in a year it's almost not worth keeping up with it. No doubt Kubota, like all those who stick around long enough, will go through every station in the lineup before settling as communications specialist at Bank of Hawaii, City Bank, or First Hawaiian. Good work, if you can get it. And a female asian is destined for corporate communications greatness here.
