Does a news station need that much weather people?

I've always wondered why they bother to have weathercasters at all. The weather info all comes to various TV stations from the same small handful of sources. TV stations should just have their news writers prepare the script and let the anchors read it over the appropriate images.
They'd save a lot of bucks that way by getting rid of weathercaster salaries.

I think Angie is good, but Joann is way better to look at. I am going to miss waking up with her. She has also improved greately over the year or two she's been on this show.

And my answer to this question is, I'd rather see Diane Ako who I have long thot should be the main announcer. She's got the looks AND intelligence.

Except, the times I have seen Diane and Dash together, she is sure a lot smaller than he is. She should sit on a phone book or something so that it's not too jarring a size difference. How tall is she, anyway? Or how tall is he? You think all these tv people are tall but then it's funny when you do get a perspective.

Diane Ako is tiny. I've seen her in person and I don't think she can be more than 5'2" or so.
