  • Possible DJs for KRTR AM 650

I have been thinking about what DJs might be on KRTR AM 650. I think it would be good to have Gene Schiller on AM 650. He was a DJ for KUMU FM 94.7 when they were Easy Listening. I also think George Rudolph should move back to Honolulu to be a DJ for AM 650. I miss him ever since he moved to Florida.

Re: Possible DJs for KRTR AM 650

Sheriff Norm could be a good DJ for AM 650 because his "Long Lost Oldies" show didn't get aired on KUMU AM 1500 yesterday (Sunday, January 16) afternoon. I started thinking that his "Long Lost Oldies" show will never again air on AM 1500 because of the Easy Listening Favorites format of AM 650. Perhaps Sheriff Norm could air his "Long Lost Oldies" show on AM 650, featuring rare oldies not normally heard on the station. AM 650's easy listening music doesn't include Patti Page, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan, Jo Stafford, Eddie Fisher, Vic Damone, Kay Star, Glenn Miller, Billie Holiday, etc. So, Sheriff Norm could concentrate on those artists. I do have to give AM 650 credit for playing classic soft rock favorites no longer played on KUMU Lite 94.7.
