  • Advertiser typo

Since many of us here enjoy a good typo...
From today's Advertiser, viewable at http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/ar.../sp/sp10p.html and written by Stephen Tsai:

"This time a year ago, I was in Iraq," Glanville said at the end of UH's 2-hour spring practice yesterday. "Every 19-year-old kid in the calvary asked me to come back and coach."

Calvary? Gotta assume he meant/said cavalry. Biiiiig difference!
    .
    .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I thought Calvary was only a place name. Is it a lower-case regular word, too?

      ack shullay ... 'tis!

as lower case, it is two things:

an open-air representation of the crucifixion of Jesus
      OR...
an experience of usually intense mental suffering

      apparently, it's a christian thing.

      Doooh!

Well, there was a fresh large sized serving of mental suffering. Thanks...
