I'm still thinking about acousticlady's rationale for leaving the potatoes out of the teppan-yaki question, but am leaning toward the point. Too tired right now to think about it.

Why do I have a feeling there are going to be a few appeals for "leather?"

I'll make a deal.... give me the point for the teppan-yaki and I'll concede on the leather question Actually, I knew leather was wrong and was pretty sure glue was too. Never thought of gelatin. Now that I know how it's made I'm going to rethink that strawberry jell-o.

I think zztype should be a nice big brother and take his baby sister out on the town while she's visiting. Take a few days, show her the sights she hasn't seen in awhile. Keep her busy and out late. DiverDown must be a closeted comics geek, and Mike_Lowery submitted his answers like a minute after I posted the questions!

For the record, I'm not a comics geek, but I know I could be if I allowed myself to be. I'm a sucker for a good story, but I've managed to keep myself away from comics because I just can't afford another obsession in my life.

There are two parts to this question, so you got the whole point if you answered both parts and half a point for answering one part.

The blue reflectors indicate the presence of a nearby fire hydrant. They are offset in order to tell firefighters which side of the road the hydrants are on.

I just have to say I'm unreasonably pleased with myself about the #2 question, even though it doesn't really fall into the realm of "trivia." Puzzles are trivial, though, and I love puzzles.
