Re: Where Did All The Nice People Go?
Quite a few years ago, I was overheard saying some negative things about a co-worker . Unbeknownst to me, she was sitting in one of the stalls in the ladies room while I was running my mouth about the way she dressed. She confronted me and it was not a good feeling.
Since that day, I've made it a practice to not say anything personal behind a person's back that I'm not willing to say to their face. and I will own up to anything I'm accused of saying/posting. I'm just plain too old to live my life any other way. and gossiping or maligning others is just not worth my time or energy. When I said that on HT, I can choose to just walk away also goes over into my "real life". I don't have to respond/react to everything that is said to me or about me. I can choose to walk away literally too.
I think that most of us here on HT feel the same way. and that most, if not all of us on here are "Nice People".
