    *sigh* and now it's cancelled.

eta: The Jason Momoa has not had luck with show longevity. Ok, ok, it was on longer than North Shore.

It was on longer than North Shore and Baywatch Hawaii combined.

Still, I wonder why they want to stop the series at season 5? They ran out of stories and jumped gate to a new one?

I knew getting rid of Carter was a bad idea.

This show worked, even better that "Star Gate."

It's being replaced by another show "in the Stargate universe." Huh.

That's like saying "Gunsmoke" is being replaced by "Quick Draw McGraw"

Did they let her go or did she jumped gate to an entirely different new TV series?

Amanda Tapping is doing another series called Sanctuary, but I don't think that is the cause of Stargate Atlantis being cancelled.

Interesting take on the old dead arch enemy come back to life as an illusion.

Interesting epsiode with Rodney and Jennifer being on Earth attending a physics talk with a demostration that goes wrong, with Dave Folley and Bill Nye being in the episode.

Two week break and then 3 more episodes left in the series.

                    (SIGH) I'll miss it big-time.

Tonight's episode (1/2/09) was an alternate Earth episode, where Sheppard's past is different such that he never stays in the Air Force and he works in Las Vegas as a police officer where he crosses paths with a marooned Wraith on Earth.

Next week's episode is the final one for the series.

There were some silent cameos in the poker scene -- the players must have been SGA writers or producers or something.

Interesting last episode for the series, almost all of the characters in both Stargate series were mentioned or made appearences in this episode.

Of course the episode doesn't say what happens to Todd and the fate of the city.

I don't watch the show, but I noticed that channel 1557, Sci-Fi HD, is now up. I watched 5 minutes of "Stargate: Atlantis" in HD.

So was that the last Stargate Atlantis? I thought it was strange that they would end up in San Francisco Bay. It would have been cooler if they landed where the map seemed to indicate, right next to Hawaii.

Yes it was the last episode of the series. As far as Atlantis ending up just outside San Francisco I have to admit showing that view is more recongizable than showing the north shore of Kauai or Oahu, but yeah it was strange that the graphic was showing the indented landing site was around Hawaii.
