Does anyone remember The Gold Rush Blues Band from back in the 70's?
I played the bass for this group and am looking for someone who may have
a lead to any recordings that may still exist. Gold Rush performed at many concerts and festivals during that time period. KPOI and other local media
people were involved in some of the events as well as Thayer Music Co.
Let me know if you have a lead for me.

    Aloha, Mike

Any clues as to who may possibly have any recordings from then?

At that time (69-73) portable video equipment did not really exist as we know it today. If there are any videos, it would most likely exist on film...as in 16mm or 35mm film. Local television stations disposed of most anything related to film in the early 80's. Do you recall seeing any film documentary crews at any of the concerts? I would guess that some of the major groups that you opened for would have some film crew following them around.

There were some crews at the venues. I specifically remember the Blind Faith concert, since it was the farewell show of a "one tour" group.
I would be very happy to even get my hands on some audio of any of that.
              Thanks.

well there ya go.... Now you have to search for a Blind Faith documentary and see if any of the production crew is still alive that might have squirrelled away some film or audio tape.

Received the following submission via email:
You will be able to get information about the Gold Rush Blues Band recordings from the late 1960's and early 1970's from Rudy Derochmonte who played the Lead guitar with them. He was working at a Hotel in the Waianae coast on the Big island, but I heard he is now living on Maui playing with a Band. I am Randall Anderson the slide guitarist for the Silver Horse Blues Band and a former close friend of Rudy.
