    Re: Halawa murder-suicide

    What a terribly sad thread.

When I worked in child and adolescent psych (a short but memorable period in my career) it was a terrible revelation to see how many children being admitted to that locked county unit had stories of unimaginable horror in their histories. Murder of a family member was an all-too-common theme.

    So tragic.

It's got to be something going around. There was the same thing here this past weekend...the boy left behind is in some of my daughter's classes.

The Answer is Hiram Fong owned the land. Now the property has been turned into homes. There is still a small section left as the cemetery. I need to go find them before it's too late.

Isn't it usual to dig up the bodies and rebury them somewhere else, when a cemetary is moved?

apparently, the mother and daughter were victims of abuse and the daughter has said that her step-father sexually abused her for years. it was also reported that the daughter doesn't get much support from other family members and are blaming her for her mother's death. a very sad situation.
