Pork Adobo, rice and a can of Diet Coke. Can't remember the place other than it was on School Street.

I had lunch today at one of my favorite spots (not bearing the name "Nico's"): Tae's Teppan-Yaki. This is the business that was a very popular lunch-wagon in the parking lot at Daiei Kaheka. Now it's in real restaurant space, across Kaheka near Kalakaua. With the new space also came new items on the menu: You can get the steak roll or the new pork roast roll OR the sukiyaki. Additionally, you can get white rice, or for a buck more either brown rice or "garlic rice." GET THE GARLIC RICE. It's very, very, very, very good. Everything's $5.50, plus a buck for the garlic rice (GET THE GARLIC RICE) and another dollar for the drink.

If I lived closer to Tae's than Nico's, I'd be there four times a week. Delicious.

Well. Nico's was closed, so I went to Tae's again and had exactly the same thing. I've had everything on the menu, so it's not like it's a tough call.

A late Father's Day lunch at Kincaid's... I had the french dip, dad had the burger. Too much sauce on the latter, unfortunately.

There was a large singing group from a Baptist church in Alabama on stage outside. Rousing music, but sadly, at most four or so people watching (that weren't from the group itself).

Beef stew with daikon (Chinese style), steamed ong choy with oyster sauce, sweet sour cabbage with julienned duck, bean sprout with assorted meats and rice. Whaaaat? I nevah eat 'em all by myself. I was with friends. I swear
