Default Rare Calgary Alberta Flood

The City of Calgary is being flooded by the Bow and Elbow rivers.

There are some areas of history that are being washed away .

The Strathcona School on Riverdale is probably gone.

Default Re: Rare Calgary Alberta Flood

One of the towns flooded near Calgary is Highriver.

This is a charming town with a cowboy past.

The population is about ten thousand.

The abdicated King Edward VIII of England owned a large spread of property
nearby, and was hoping for a petrochemical discovery on his ranch.

Author Charles Higham has written a fascinating book

called
"The Duchess of Windsor: The Secret Life".

Oil was not found and the property was sold.
