Space Seed an episode of Star Trek, that became the basis of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
What always struck me odd is that Chekhov never met Khan in the original, but Khan says "you I remember"... hmmm. Was Chekhov on the Enterprise at the time Khan originally appeared?

Nope, Space Seed was a first season episode, Chekhov started in the second season. Some try to correct this by saying Chekhov was on the midnight shift during the 1st season, another tried to say that after the dinner scene with Khan, Kirk and his senior staff, Kahn wasn't feeling too well after eating 23rd century food so he tried to find a restroom. Of course finding a restroom on the Enterprise is very hard to do (we never saw one during the original run), but he did find it (the only one in fact) and it was occupied by Chekhov at the time. Needless to say Kahn was pissed.
The lead was injured so a double was used wearing a mask while the lead recorded his lines from his hospital bed.
The sidekick humorously mangled English. Oh, my grandmother dated him! That one clue, alone, is probably the give-away!
And the show was...?
