Re: Let's Hui! HawaiiThreads Picnic Planning

just found out about it...sweet...mahalo ryan for the clue-in...i'm gigging the night before, but noonish seems reasonable...how do yall feel about groggy, tardy stragglers? i goin try mek um befo auntie's kabli get whack whacked...

and what's the beer protocol? can? no can? or bottles? i might feel unamerican without a cold one at a picnic, but i suppose that would be better than feeling like a lush when i show up with some beers and no one is drinking...

i got my hands on a good pico de gallo at foodland, but i bought the wrong sized fritos (the little guys they put in snack bags for kids, not good for dipping applications)...
    Don't be mean,
    try to help.

I will not be able to join in, for I will be on a plane heading for Seattle that morning. Have fun everyone.

If Kimo's there, you won't be the only one drinking. I'll have a couple of beers, too. So that's three of us. Now it's a party!

I usually don't drink at PARTIES! This calls for a celebration - make that four!

            Auntie Lynn

            BTW: I'll just have one ( )

We'll be there! Yes, WE. Or someone's getting a butt-kicking.

Dunno what to bring, though. I'll figure it out Saturday. Maybe stuff to make taco salad?

                Couple = two, right?

Boy, it's a good thing we moved from Magic Island to Kakaako Waterfront Park. I was just down at Ala Moana, and the whole of Magic Island is given over to the rescheduled centennial celebration. The whole carnival kit and kaboodle.

MadAzza, it'd be great to see you again, and I hope Kimo55's not too bruised and battered when I finally meet him. If there is going to be beer there, of course I don't know anything about it...

I also got "definite maybes" from Windwardskies and Linkmeister. So it sounds like we've got the makings of a fine confab.

Maybe that other new guy (the "redneck from Texas" who drives the sports car with the Texas safety sticker in Kona) would be available?

Yes I'm going to have to decline, but its because Mr. Aaron has to work.
Not because of any other reason.

Well...no drinking for me! I have to judge the teen's singing contest at Don Ho's Island Grill that night which means it'll be a very good thing if I stay awake thru it! For those of you who'd like to continue to pah-tay into the evening...hele on over to Don Ho's. Al Waterson's contest makes for an incredibly fun evening. And, I'll happily accept any and all raspberries you wish to fling at me!
