Ryan, your camera is facing the wrong way. Try look behind you, to the right.

Nice day in the park... Sailboats sailing by, some kind of stage setup for Easter, and just for Scrivever, a cheerleading squad!

            Where is Scrivener?

So far, Aunty Lynn and "PK," DiverDown808, Helen, AbsolutChaos, Palama Kid and Palama Mama, Keith H., and me and my family...

            Good times!
Kalbi, two kinds of chicken, pita rolls, poke, spinach salad, crab-like salad, pancit, crackers with spicy cream cheese and habanero pepper jelly dip, two kinds of manapua, and rice.
            Several points:

            1. Where was Scrivener?

            2. Howsacum nobody mention AbsolutChaos not finding us . . . while standing about 50 feet away? Her smile of embarrassment was priceless, especially after completing her phone call to Pzarquon to find us. Sorry, no pitcher.

            3. Thanks for nuttin, Ryan. It's like I didn't bring any of my homemade desserts.

            4. Auntie Lynn:
            a. PK (not Palama Kid) is a good cook; your Kal Bi was mashadong masarap.
            b. How could you have thought I grad Farrington? MWH was in McKinley district. Besides, I'm mo bettah looking, mo smaht, and have bettah frosted hair than any Farrington grad (sorry D'Alani). McKinley '63.

            5. I'm stealing Palama Mama's HawaiiThreads license plate holder, which she won by having the nearest birthday. Proudly displayed on my car, 2500 miles away, it'll replace a KCCN plate holder.

Stuck here for less than four more weeks now.
Born in Hawaii, too - Truss me

Hey, lol. I feel I need a chance to defend myself!
I always look for the blue tent, that normally is up by the time I get there (and the banner). So I went around peering at all the faces under blue tents on Magic Island--didn't occur to me that the tent wasn't up yet. Next year, I'll bring a bullhorn and stand in the middle of Magic Island and keep saying "where is Hawaii Threads?" until somebody comes over to lead me to the right group.

I'll be displaying my HT licence plate holder on the front of my car...as soon as I get off my lazy tookus and install the thing.

Well, don't feel too bad, A.C. I was walking along the Waikiki edge of Magic Island (per Ryan's instructions) when I saw this guy waving in my direction whom I didn't recognize. Only after Palama Kid said the magic word "HawaiiThreads" did I know I was in the right place. At the time it was only him, Palama Mama, and me. Ryan was stuck in traffic on H-1 coming over.

For my part, shortly afterward, I saw two girls walking in our direction, and I did the same thing. Didn't work. (Hey, come on, I didn't have the guest list and how was I to know what the new guys/gals look like in RL?)

I overslept on Saturday morning so that is why I showed up late to the gathering.

I know, I know - why should I care, but...

                      Hope everything's okay, Scrivener.

Dang, someone must've slipped some silly-juice in my morning coffee.
