    Re: Another earthquake?

KITV has a brief report about the earthquake on its website. The Advertiser also now has it as breaking news.

Does anyone remember the aftermath of Hurricane Iwa, 24 years ago today (altho' that wasn't turkey day)? We ended up with rolling blackouts on Thanksgiving day. It was quite an adventure!

I DO remember that! For like a whole week we had those rolling blackouts. I lived on University Avenue, in that last condo by the Ala Wai...500 University I think...and we had to do a lot of walking up and down stairs. Talk about economizing one's trips!

I'm right across the Ala Wai from you and I got woken out of bed!

First thought was... grab the wife and kid and head for the hills... then I thought... Wait for the sirens... cause it wasn't as big as the 15th.

Is it really an aftershock though? Seems odd that an aftershock would hit more than a month and a week laterl!
Manoa, aftershocks go on for months.

Hey if these aftershocks are the 4.0 to 5.0 shake the place but cause no damage type then having them come once a month is way better than a 7.0 to 9.0 cause a lot of damage shake that comes once every ten years.

For some reason this made me thing of cooking with auntie marialani (was that her name?) cook the chicken at 350 degrees for 2 hours, or 4 degrees for 4 days. Something along those lines, anyway.

I was freezin as temps were in the 60s this morning, so I shivered through the quake. didn't notice it, but everyone else in my house did.

                      Re: Another earthquake?

Maybe there is some truth to predicting Earthquakes?

While disagreement abounds on this topic, scientists at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) say that oil production can cause earthquakes, but not the kind reported in the news....
