Sorry Miulang. I missed your question. No, it was prepared in a shoyu / sugar base. I was so happy to see it was butterfish, I'd have loved it no matter how it was prepared.

Slice of pepperoni pizza, fresh from the ovens of DeLaurenti's, Pike Place Market, Seattle (like I need to add that last word.) Oh, and water.

Braised Oxtail, two scoops rice and macaroni salad. Iced tea. ~ Diners in Kalihi.

The Braised Oxtail was succulent and sooooo onolicious. Firm yet melted in my mouth. The sauce quite simple. Like Stew. No vegetables. Simply devine.

You must try it. I highly recommend it.

Salmon, rice and salad and honey toast at Shokudo. The honey toast was big enough to share among 6 people and still have some left over but it was goooooood

5 piece chicken select strips with sweet chili sauce, fries, and super-sized Coke. Hot fudge sundae with nuts to start it off.

Yes, I like my dessert first.

Macaroni & cheese from Beecher's, Pike Place Market. They make their own cheese on the premises. They ship to CONUS, but not Hawai`i, Alaska or internationally (yet.)http://www.beechershandmadecheese.com/

The honey toast at Shokudo is the bomb! Mmmmmm...

Today was a stir-fry of tofu, broccoli, carrots and snow peas in sesame oil and chili pepper oil.

For the ignorant (like me), can you folks describe the "honey toast" dish?

Chowed on some Chicken Pad Thai Noodles. The noodles come out orange. Do you think the restaurant uses food coloring?
