Default Whats Going On In Arkansas?

First thousands of birds fall out of the sky, now tens of thousands of fish are washing up dead in the rivers there. Seems a bit weird. Its the kind of thing that makes you think there might be an environmental connection. But it may be just one of those weird things that happens from time to time. The hard thing about communicating with conservatives & Republicans about the environment is getting across the point that we humans are part of the web of life, we depend on the rest of the web of life being healthy to maintain our own existence. It always seems impossible to them that anything we could do could possibly kill off, for example, the oxygen producing plants of the sea, or raise the temperature of the planet dangerously. Experience is the best teacher but its a harsh one. We can only hope whatever is going on in Arkansas is an isolated, odd ball incident that won't be repeated.

Cool Re: Whats Going On In Arkansas??

Birds falling, rains of frogs or 'blood,' weeping statues, enormous sinkholes in the middle of cities, unexplainable (so far) astrophysical phenomenon, all describable as Fortean events (after Charles Fort, the original skeptic), things thought impossible which apparently occur in spite of our disbelief.

Such things are our wake-up call to our ignorance. In spite of all we have learned since the beginning of our extant recorded history, such things demonstrate to us all how little we still know about this Universe we inhabit.

Take it in stride. We may or may not discover causes for such things, but the important thing is to recognize that the 'impossible' does happen; if anything we should expect it.

The part of Arkansas where the dead birds were found was in the northeast part of the state, while the dead fish was in the northwest part of the state, at least 100 miles apart.

URL from CNN about the bird deaths:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/01/03/ark...ex.html?hpt=T2

Doesn't seem to be much mentioning about the fish deaths.

Now there are dead birds falling from the sky in Louisiana. And Arkansas (the Razorbacks) is playing Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl today ... in Louisiana!

We also have the unexplained death of bees (nalo mele) going on for the past few years. Its odd that these species that existed just fine for God only knows how long are now going away. There could be a natural explanation, but if its something we are doing, we should think about knocking it off!

Is it a coincidence that this happened in the state of Bill Clinton?

According to CNN they have been a lot geological activity going on around the town of Guy, Arkansas.

If one looks at the maps shown in Wikipedia, Guy, Arkansas sort of lies in between Beebe, Arkansas and Ozark, Arkansas.

A mystery of birds dying suddenly are happening in New Jersey. What kind of bad karma did Chris Christy do?

The New Jersey scene is complex.Spiro Agnew ran the place for awhile.
Down in Arkansas lil airports popped up.
Down in those hills the folks were sitting on their sack of seeds and
waiting for better weather in Florida.
