  • What are some Hawaiian music stations on Maui?

    Aloha mai kakou,

My 'ohana and I are going to Kapalua this February. Last time we went there, the only Hawaiian music station we could find was The Breeze, now KHUI 99.5 from Honolulu. I would like to know what some others are and then find ones I like. Mahalo nui loa!

KPOA93.5 has mostly contemporary Hawaiian ("jawaiian") music with some old school Hawaiian. KNUI 900 AM is a great classic Hawaiian station with slack key to yes, even Danny Couch.
Both stations have the best air personalities on radio anywhere
Have a great ohana reunion, Feb. will be great for whale watching.

Yes, KPOA is da bomb! Love their DJs (Alaka'i, the "Morning Goddess" is especially fabulous). If you go to their website, they do live streaming so you can enjoy their music just about anywhere you are in the world.
