Back in 1971 one of my friends made up a word and we used it whenever we were surprised. It was Abodoi with an upward bounce in the Doi part. Another friend reduced it to DOI!!! with an emphasis on the "I". The friend that made the word up thought the "I" part was lame so he shortened to it DOH!!! Your friends didn't make that up - I was familiar with "ahbahDOEE?" in the late 60's in the Bay Area.May I always be found beneath your contempt.
