  • Steve Miller Band, 3/1 @ Blaisdell Arena

I'm dying already for some decent arena rock and may actually break down and go if prices aren't nuts...
No way Foreigner or Styx would cut it.

Miller is always good, and mixes the set list well with (not necessarily my) favorites and stuff he likes, hopefully Mercury Blues again.

The guy was actually taught how to play by non other than Les Paul, a family friend.

            I'dis fo'reo?

Not only will the opening act be Jesse Colin Young(!), but look's like Joe Cocker has been tagging along the tour and will make the island stop as well.

            If so, should be good!

What a show! I was completely blown away by the whole night! From opening to end the place just rocked. Steve gave us his all as did Jessie, Norton Buffalo the new guy Sonny Charles and the rest of the artists. Simply amazing!
That Sonny Charles was so great with his dancing and singing! What showmanship! My loge seats (loge 1 row B) were dead straight to the stage with a completely unobstructed view and unlike other shows the ability to dance without some non-moving person getting irritated. My pilates trainer/massage therapist was hired to give Steve a pre show massage.
She must have done her usual awesome job as he was just moving and
grooving! Thanks Steve and the whole ensemble for a memorable time!

As usual The Steve Miller Band performed a great concert but I thought the 2006 Crater Festival was a better show. Here are some videos I posted on YouTube.
