Re: "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS

Tonight was a repeat episode that I missed most of it (from Oct 14), which also included Katee Sackhoff and George Takei in Howard's mind.

Tonight was another missed repeat episode. This time Raj's sister comes to visit and she has the hots for Leonard, which 5 years ago (a year before the series started) Leonard and Howard pinky swore to Raj not to go after the sister.

The fallout at the end of the episode is the four of them confessing the various lies they told to each other.

Tonight's episode has Penny giving acting lessons to Sheldon. One exercise has them doing a scene from Sheldon's play which has Mr. Spock coming to the past to confront Sheldon's mother saying that they need Sheldon to come to the future to save the galaxy. The real fun part is Penny playing Mr. Spock and Sheldon playing his mother.

Re: "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS

Picked up the first season DVD of The Big Bang Theory some time ago so I watched a couple of the first episodes this morning. The 2nd episode titled The Big Bran Hypothesis has references to Superman, Green Lantern and Star Wars.

Did pause at the end title card, there are 8 different sentences in it but this one stuck me as kind of cute:

Don't eat anything bigger than your head. True in the sixties, true today.

Story A for tonight's episode has Bernadette staying at Howard's place over the weekend.

Story B has Amy taking Leonard to a wedding while Sheldon is doing model trains.

Tonight was the Halloween episode where the gang scares Sheldon at the start of the episode, the rest of the episode has Sheldon trying to get back at the rest of the gang with no luck on his part.

When it comes to deal with Howard, Sheldon goes to Howard's house, rings the doorbell, Howard answers the door and a woman's voice yells "Who is at the door?".

Sheldon replies with "Its me Sheldon, Mrs. Wolowitz".

Then Howards says that was Bernadette yelling.

Tonight's episode has Howard and Bernadette doing a magic show for some kids and a trick backfires on Howard, while Bernadette threaten the kids with no cake.

Tonight's episode has Leonard Nimoy giving his voice to a Spock doll that belongs to Sheldon. There are 2 dream sequences, with the 2nd one being on a planet with 2 suns, with the Guardian of Forever in the background and a life sized Gorn chasing after Sheldon.

Tonight's episode had Stephan Hawking making an appearance, which happened at the end of the episode. At the start of the episode the gang was discussing the possibility of Stephan Hawking getting a restraining order against Sheldon who already has such things from Leonard Nimoy, Stan Lee and Carl Sagan.

A previous episode back in season 3 has Stan Lee issuing a restraining order against Sheldon who reacted by saying he will put in next to his restraining order from Leonard Nimoy. From this one can assume that the restraining order from Carl Sagan came later, trouble is Carl Sagan has been dead since the late 1990's.

The following possibilties come ro mind:
                      1) The restraining order was issued before Carl Sagan died.
                      2) There is another Carl Sagan (more than likey is not in a physics related field).
                      3) The writers are trying to see if us audience members can see the plot hole in this.
                      4) Or Sheldon is so bad that even the dead will get a restraining order against him (or maybe his family/estate issued the order in his name).

When I arrived home and turned on the TV only to find the starting theme of The Big Bang Theory was already playing. The ending of the episode was pretty cool if one really likes Star Trek: The Original Series.
