    Re: Weird Hawaii Road Signs

One time ago my gf and I set off for Pahoa to do a photo shoot at the tree museum nearby.
We had a great hamburger and fries.
I misread a map and upon exiting Pahoa entered a long straight highway leading far away
from my desire to return to Hilo
After long drive I pulled over, attended to nature and reversed course.
The odd thing I noticed was that upon backtracking, a pickup drove by with
a german shephard at the wheel.
I lost that roll of film.

        I never drive while impaired.
That includes any amount of alcohol or marijuana.

As far as I can tell the dog was sitting in the lap of human actually driving.

Funny how this stuff keeps burping up from Puna.

          Re: Weird Hawaii Road Signs

The left turn from Kam Highway into the road that leads to the Kaneohe Libary and the HPD Kaneohe Police station has a sign thet says:

          "Left Turn on arrow only."

The two options on the light itself are a red arrow and a green arrow.

I turned left on a red arrow, and a policeman stopped me. I said, that I followed the instructions, and turned left on the arrow - and he let me go.

          (WHEW!)

            You got very lucky!
Since red anything obviously means stop, he could have got you good for that.

              Re: Weird Hawaii Road Signs

The first sign confused me to no end when I first moved. It's in the middle of an intersection with small print and I had to read it about five times.

The second one I saw at a gas station on the North Shore across from Ted's Bakery. It's my favorite. Supposed to read "Cash Customers Please Pay First".
