14,000 troops in several days? That's a lot of canoes! And all the way from the Big Island, past Maui and landing in Kahala. I would imagine by the time Kamehameha's warriors landed in Kahala they would be too tired to be an overwhelming force to reckon with.

        That's an incredible story!

Weren't they paddling/sailing from Molokai, having just "secured" it?

Even from Molokai, the Oahu warriors were well-rested. Oh I forgot Kamehameha had the help from the white man's big cannons too.

Both sides had cannon and the battled did not ensue on the day that Kamehameha's forced landed on Oahu. "After several days of organizing" per the article.

It takes a ton of political correctness and blind belief to confuse these two words......

                unite and conquer

                Did Hitler "unite" Europe?

In some cultures, the man who does the most slaughtering is revered. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, and I'm not passing any judgements. But facts are the facts, and savage brutality often results in massive death, no matter how you sugar coat it with PC history/culture.
