What's your folk's take on it? Do you think it's becoming the new "roving billboards" of Oahu, skating our anti-billboard law? Cool? Trashy? Hip? Obnoxious? Eye-catching? Distracting to drivers?

I'm on the fence regarding this one. Most of what I (and you) see on the road is pretty well designed and cool looking, in my opinion. Yet, as more and more businesses seem to be jumping on this trend of covering every square inch of their business vehicle(s) with photo-quality digital graphics, it's becoming more, well, "noticeable".

I must say, the model on the Maui Divers van is pretty darned HOT! Always makes my day when I'm behind that van. LOL!!!

    Yes, all those things. "Skirting."

Another "cookie" of an example, in situ composition amongst plain ole cars...

It's really no different from what Robert's Hawaii and Polynesian Adventures have been doing for years with their tour buses. It's not at all distracting and almost all of it are really good artwork.

I kind of like it. Especially since those auto wraps are becoming more affordable (slightly...give it time!) for regular people. I love the idea of people being able to skin cars the way they skin their phones and laptops.

D'Alani's example of the buses is exactly what I was thinking of, not to mention the gigantic McD's trucks that deliver all that frozen goodness every night all over the island. And that anti-abortion truck that got the go-ahead several years ago. Whatever happened to that anyway?

D 'Alani, I agree. The photography on the Polynesian Cultural Center buses is especially outstanding. Love it. I like especially when they have Hawaii scenic photos included in the design.

I can just see in Vegas, there'll be vehicles with graphic images of escort services plastered all over it. LOL!

I spoke with the foreman of the sign company who had just applied that decal treatment on the (solar company) Creative Energy van in the first photo, and he said each van like that costs about $4,000 to fully cover with digital graphics, and takes about a 1 day to do with a crew of 3 guys. There's a 3 year warranty on the job.

Here's another one I just captured a few moments ago...

Colorful vehicles with fancy or even plain graphics don't bother me at all. Let them be.
              I'm still here. Are you?
