Re: Has anybody followed the JonBenet Case??

There are charges that might be imposed for Karr lying in the case (for impeding justice, wasting goverment resources, perjury) but I dunno if the police will actually charge him, especially if it's determined that he is mentally ill.

This is definitely one bizarre bizarre case.

Leave it to the "sleuths" at the National Enquirer to figure it all out.

Well, if he's institutionalized because he's definitely one degree off kilter and a potential pedophile, would he also get treated for his transsexualism? I know some prison systems actually have provided inmates with Viagra and transsexual reassignment surgery.

This guy is more than Sick. He is more than Insane. He needs to be kept away from Society before he does what he fantazises.

So, will he be returned to Thailand, to face possible charges of child molestation there? Before extradition to the U.S., it was said that authorities there were building a case against him, for having a sexual relationship with at least one underage girl, and possibly others.

Hmmmm...Thailand is very harsh when it comes to child molestation. They don't Fool around. In most cases it's Punishable by Death.

              He deserves it.

              No pity from this wahine.

One less child predator walking free ... I think the US should adopt Thailand's punishments for such sickening acts!

dAS mean he knew exactly wat he was doing. He planned everything to get outta Thailand. Now he can make ukapila money from sleezy magazines and probably write a book on how he outsmart the authorities.

Alas, a Child Predator will always be a Child Predator. He will strike again.

He is still being held in Boulder until he gets extradicted back to CA for charges there, so he will probably get charged once he gets here. Info from cbs13 news.

I wonder why they didn't just leave him in custody in Thailand since he was already being held there and just run the basic tests? Then if the test results were positive, they could have still transferred him to the U.S. and if the tests were negative, they spared the taxpayers the expense of flying him over business class and feeding him pate and champagne, keeping him here for a bit and now having to fly him back (hopefully just strapped to the plane wing).

hmmm, are they going to charge him in CA?

I believe he was arrested in Thailand at the request of U.S. authorities, after all, rather than to face charges there (correcting my earlier post.) The folks in Colorado wanted a DNA sample, but were afraid he would elude Thai police, if he aware he was a suspect.

He was released by Colorado authorities originally (as reported), but was put back in custody when California made it clear they wanted him after all - so that's where he's likely to be headed next.

I heard on the news this morning that U.S. authorities (or was it Colorado authorities?) didn't want the DNA testing done in Thailand as they were afraid the process or the handling and shipping might taint the outcome. That said, I'm sure it would've saved the taxpayers some buckaroonies to send an American lab technician with a test kit to Thailand instead of extradicting Karr along with a posse back to the U.S. Heck, the lab tech might've flown coach complete with his/her own sandwich and byob! But I'm just one tutu in Makaha so what do I know?

Hmm, so the taxpayers paid $5,925 to fly Karr and an investigator back Business Class. Wonder if there will be a new DA is Boulder soon with all the criticism there is now.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - One-time JonBenet Ramsey murder suspect John Mark Karr was offered a plea deal Tuesday on child pornography charges that would free him on probation.
