Re: Aq Pilots Call Banmillers Bluff
I really really hope the AQ pilots and ALPA don't have to cave in the way the NWA pilots just did by agreeing to a temporary 23.9% pay cut while negotiations continue. In all, NWA management wants all union employees to take a 60% pay cut in order to stop it from going to the feds and requesting that it be allowed to discontinue all current contracts. Once tactics like this develop into a trend, it will mark the rapid acceleration of the decline of the American middle class as we know it...it's happening in the airline industry (which is basically a service industry) and in the automobile industry (manufacturing). Both segments have long been considered the backbone of America's economic strength.
