  • Bad Day for PBS Broadcasting

Yesterday, 3 programs had transmission glitches that spoiled the programs [that I watched]. Lincoln Highway, Amusement Parks and Frontline: Assisted Living each had transmission gaps, just 'NO SIGNAL' blank screens of 3 to 12 minute duration each. When a gap was coming, the video would sometimes freeze first, so I believe the issue is with program playback. I've seen glitches before, but this gap stuff is really unwatchable.
May I always be found beneath your contempt.

I wonder if these programs were transmitted to PBSHawaii during Flossie's recent visit. The station says they suffered weather-related power outages as well.

I do like the spelling on this page from PBSHawaii's website, however:

Just tell us about what came before and after the gaps, and we'll fill them in for you. Always glad to help. I'll take Assisted Living (non-fiction, right?).
