I'm debating whether to jump onto Google Chrome or not, yet.
Who here's got the pros & cons?
For free it seems quite good. But I thot I saw somewhere that you need a minimum of X RAM and I'm still at only 1.

I hesitated for awhile but it's now my default browser, seems more sturdy and faster than MSIE or Mozilla.

Re: I'll be Chrome for Christmas

There are still some sites and Facebook apps that won't run with Chrome, by the way, but nothing of great importance.

I'm testing it out, and so far it's been good. But I won't leave Firefox until I can bring all my add-ons with me.

Same. I've yet to hear of anything like ad blocker pro being offered for Chrome.

I love Chrome but keep Firefox as a backup when things don't work in Chrome. The best thing about Chrome is the combined search and address bar.

Re: I'll be Chrome for Christmas

I love Google Chrome. I use many, many Firefox add-ons, so still use it quite a bit, but more and more are turning up as Chrome extensions. But Chrome is lightweight (starts fast, runs fast, uses less memory), clean (one browser bar, wastes less screen real estate)... and crashes only periodically. Then again, I'm using the beta on PC, and the just-released beta for Mac.

Only bummer is that the Mac version is behind the PC version, so no extensions at all on that side. But still... Chrome has quickly supplanted Safari as my secondary browser.

I use it, and it works fast and easy. Of course, I only do internet and emails, so my demands are small.
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

Any problems in the change from what you had to chrome?

The latest in the Chrome world is that Google and their manufacturing partners Acer and Samsung are going to release Chromebooks, laptops that only do cloud computing with an all Chrome OS. No more Microsoft. No more Apple. No more Linux. All Chrome. All Cloud.

You'll be able to buy Chromebooks starting on June 15.
                        I'm still here. Are you?

My geek son put in on when he reinstalled my hard drive, choosing it for whatever "geeky" reasons he knows. He claims Chrome is more efficient and runs faster than Internet Explorer. But that Firefox is also good.

I also have Internet Explorer, and if Chrome occasionally won't open up something I want, or a link doesn't work, I just resort to redoing it on IE. [It is probably my settings that are a problem, not actually Chrome.]

But again, I don't demand much of my computer. But my son does! And he likes Chrome.

While I still use Internet Explorer V8 as my default browser I will use Google Chrome whenever I use Google mail or Google Docs, it seems to work the best for those applications.
