Small yogurt + granola - going out for dinner/symphony concert tonight, so keeping an appetite.

Helen is probably the most diligent poster to this thread. I am always intrigued by his lunch and dinner choices. Sometimes he's healthy, sometimes he isn't but most times he does the Dew.

Helen being a 'he' might explain the lack of home-cooked meals, as well as the ever present Mountain Dew.

It's a long story... and probably not one for this thread.

Anyway. For lunch today, I met a friend at Coffeeline in Manoa. It's in the Atherton YMCA building across from UH, at the corner of University Ave. and Seaview.

How can you not be intrigued by a kitchen like that? We split a lasagne and salad. The food was good, but the ambiance was the best part. A space any mad scientist slash packrat college professor could love.

Hey Larry, can you tell me where the spatula is?" The angry cook yells back "It's behind the license plate on the hook to the left of you". Still looking, he asks, "Which license plate?"

The funniest part of that photo is, amid all that chaotic clutter, the microwave at the centerpiece is actually running. lol!

Lunch was weird. Okay, can't blame the food. I am weird for eating....a half of a burrito and one whole, little lumpia. Fresh cup of tea with it. Dinner.....I shudder to think.

Quarter pounder with cheese and a cup of Diet Coke from a McDonalds Express.

Cheeseburger (no onions), salad (bleu cheese), and an iced tea (with lemon) from The Shack in Kailua. YUM!

                        .
                        .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Dysfunctional as this may sound...lunch was salmon with a bit of relish and miracle whip, then some plain chex mix stirred right in, and in a large cup so I could eat it while I worked at my desk. Fresh brewed, dark iced tea to wash it down. burp~

George Bush Pizza (I hear it is one of his favorites)...

Pizza dough, pizza sauce, ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, browned ground beef chunks, sliced tomatoes, dill pickle chips, cheezewhiz.

Not too bad, but more beef and less pickles, next time. And mild mustard instead of Dijon.
