  • The Outer Limits

This old tv show is a nice backdrop to the Twilight Zone.
There is a certain Serling point of view ,but with a few more twists thrown in.

A few episodes of One Step Beyond , hosted by John Newland
cross over into this shadowy realm between
    the munchies and ones kitchen.

I liked OSB, it used real documented events to portray in the episodes, often making it even creepier than the others. One favorite was the glider plane that came back to it's desert airfield takeoff point decades later, landing with the pilot's skeleton at the helm. oooOOOWEEEEEEEOOOOooo...

        Re: The Outer Limits

After some head scratching I now remember viewing that episode of OSB
        many years ago.
As I recall it scared the pants off me.
More interesting is the fact that I had totally forgotten this childhood memory
        until Ron mentioned this episode.
I can remember sitting with family in front of the Admiral (or was it Zenith )
tv and seeing that dried up dude in the pilots seat looking like a piece of
        beef jerky. Quite shocking.

          Re: The Outer Limits

One of the early NaNoWriMo novels that I wrote was based on The Outer Limits episode called The Architects of Fear, but when I told people that I knew about this, they could only remember the episode The Zanti Misfits.

Too bad neither of them got remade in the 1995 version.

All episodes of the original "Outer Limits" and the re-boot I think are on Hulu.com.

            I'm still here. Are you?

Helen, keep on looking for another publisher.

Sometimes some of the best books were printed only after

              a major struggle.

              Mel,

              Thankyou for this beautiful website.
