Everyone was really helpful with my Chantilly cake, so I am coming back again. My Son gave me a Ukulele for my birthday (67) and since I am from Hawaii, I want to learn the Hawaiian way. I am on the mainland, so does anyone know a good beginner book to check out????Mahalo

Re: Beginner Ukulele Music
There are teachers in many communities, especially along the West Coast. I'll ask acquaintances in the Napa area, and let you know what they say.
Here's a good Hawaiian-style beginning uke book:

Re: Beginner Ukulele Music
Here are two responses I've gotten thus far ---
"There's at least one wonderful 'ukulele instructor in Napa. He is Sean Allen and he teaches at the Napa School of Music. Also, the Wine Country 'Ukulele Festival (Sept. 11 & 12, 2010) will have lots of amazing insructors on hand for the weekend."
"There are simple chord charts, first lessons, and other useful information posted under "instruction" on the Boise Ukulele Group website." --- www.boiseukulelegroup.com
