    Re: What's for lunch - Chapter 10

Two items for lunch today..after all, it will be New Year's Eve soon!

    1. Inari! I brought back an ample (well, maybe a month's worth) supply of Shirakiku "Cones for Sushi" from Don Quijote, along with a supply of the proper rice used in making inari...sushi rice imported from Japan! I'm going to give making my favorite food a shot here. If I make them as good as they are in Hawaii, I'll be pestering some HT members to send me some more of the inari cones after my supply of them is gone.

    2. Tofu char siu made with Noh's char siu mix.

I will be enjoying the above items with perhaps the only (and last) bottle of Waialua Pineapple soda to be had in this area. Like a fine Cuban cigar which one has waited for a special moment to smoke, today is the perfect time to drink it. (Thank you, Mitchell!)

Let me know what you think of it. I like it.

My lunch was a plate of spaghetti.

Sounds pretty tempting. Is the restaurant in Honolulu? Some of the nummies at the swap meet sound good too!

Little Village Noodle House is in Chinatown. So, yes, Honolulu!

Leftovers from the Hawaiian feast my wife prepared last night, fresh off the plane from Hilo, no less. Kalua pork, chicken long rice, and ... well, rice. What can I say, I love carbs.

                    More NYE leftovers.

Pancit bihon, lumpia and grilled bacon/asparagus.

                    Water to wash it down.

Holiday lemon bars for the finishing touch!

Pho from Saigon Restaurant and iced tea.

It was a Pho kind of day in Kaimuki with the weather and all!

Leftovers again... teri beef, a veggie mix of edamame, green beans and mushrooms (from the supermarket), and too much rice. Still a bit hungry, though, so may spring for some Maui-style potato chips this afternoon.

I'm hooked on that 'medley'. I keep the freezer at both home and office stocked with it!

Oh, today I had a Tropical smoothie from Jamba Juice.
