  • Hurricane Guillermo

A last shot of Felicia's rain woke me up early this morning, and I see Guillermo's been busy in the eastern Pacific:

Heck, not even worth moving the lanai furniture back outside or putting away the water jugs.

Advisory #8 for this storm system:

The 5 day track at this time has Guillermo taking a more northly track than what Felica did last weekend.

        Re: Hurricane Guillermo

It was downgraded again last night (no longer a hurricane) and is still over 800 miles east of Hilo, heading north/northwest and getting into colder water which will make it weaken even further. At the moment it's predicted to pass 400 miles north of us. Shouldn't cause us anything except a slight increase in waves.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I think the next time I'll pack some sun screen in my hurricane preparedness stuff. The weather has been remarkably sunny and balmy, the day Felicia and even today here in Keaau on the Big Island.
Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully.
