  • Modern dangers for airline passengers

With all the passenger screening that now happens at airports, once you get settled in your seat on the airplane, you'd expect a little piece and quiet. But nooooooo, the screening does not screen out weirdos. {sorry, bold is stuck on]

    EWWWW!

Guess those ladies should have been giving out whack whacks.

I do believe that is worse than the stinky feet under my seat throughout the Paris-to-LaGuardia Air France flight. I really thought I was gonna die; and I have smelled some smells in my day.

I think sometimes you just gotta share your misery with the other passengers...."Hey, this guy's ........." That way you have some witnesses.

      Follow up [excerpts]:
Federal Court judge Leslie Kobayashi yesterday sentenced a 28-year-old man from Saipan to 21 days in prison for assaulting a fellow passenger on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu.

U.S. Attorney Ed Kubo said court documents show the victim, a 66-year-old woman, was watching the in-flight movie when Kingzio stood next to her and began urinating on her.

So, is this an adequate punishment? Or, will da boys in jail perhaps give the perp a taste of his own medicine.
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

I was quite surprised to learn that alcohol was involved in these incidents.

There was a one-eyed snake teabagging movie or straight to DVD.

Hawaiian Airlines plane, engine smoking, lands safely on Maui

                      By Gregg K. Kakesako

                      POSTED: 08:32 a.m. HST, May 12, 2015

A Hawaiian Airlines flight with 73 passengers and a crew of five made an emergency landing in Maui Tuesday morning when one of its two engines malfunctioned.

Tim Sakahara, state Department of Transportation, said one engine was smoking when the aircraft landed at Kahului Airport.

State firefighters sprayed foam to douse the engine.

Re: Modern dangers for airline passengers

Thanks to United Airlines, there is a new definition for "volunteer bump".

This video shows security forcibly removing a passenger, who according to reports, was randomly chosen to give up his seat due to overbooking. When he refused, United called in security.

The video speaks for itself on how much of the story about "force" is accurate:

Wouldn't it just have been easier for the airline to "bump up the price of compensation" for a REAL volunteer, until they had a taker, instead of dragging an unwilling passenger off the airplane? It's a scary thought that we must depend on these type of employee's judgement when we hand over our own safety when in flight..... and while still at the gate.

Re: Modern dangers for airline passengers

The worst part is they needed to bump four paying passengers for their own employees. The employees needed to be on that pane to get to the plane they had to crew.
It puzzles me that they could not figure out they had to bump passengers before they boarded the plane. Shows incompetence.

I used to be very loyal to United until they deleted all my miles just before I could cash them in. If they cannot be loyal to me I cannot be loyal to them.
"Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone."
