    Re: What's for lunch - Chapter 8

Chicken cup of noodles and a can of Diet Pepsi. While I knew that the HCC Cafeteria is closed during the spring break, I heard that bookstore is closed too. Luckly I purchased the cup of noodles from the bookstore a couple of weeks ago and the can of soda I brought from co-workers who had a stash of soda.

Took Mel to the zoo this morning and got outta there just as that thunderstorm hit. Drove through Kaimuki and University areas looking for a place to eat lunch. Ended up at McCully Camellia for kalbi yakiniku for lunch. What a great idea. Hot kalbi and rice while we watched the lightning and listened for the extra loud thunder.

On the way home, stuck in traffic, of course, Mel yells, "MOM! I have to do number 3!" Of course I'm in the far left lane and pissed a few people off making a b-line to the Pali offramp and took her to my credit union in Pauoa. Good ting dey wuzn't busy an know my face, as I ran in da doah with Mel saying, "She gottah do numbah tree, NOW!" OH, numbah tree is da runz. Dey undahstood aftah I explained it all to dem.

Oh!! Mel is your daughter! When I started reading, I thought you were hanging with our mel here at HT.

                      Here’s our jingle for Goldfish
We wrote a song for Goldfish
The wholesome snack that smiles back
Until you bite their heads off!
                      See the fishes swimming
                      Oh look, the winner's grinning
Didn’t that make you feel good about Goldfish?
                      Here’s our jingle for Goldfish
                      Crunchy little Goldfish
Oh good we’re at the part
Where we show that they’re baked and not fried
Did you know they’re made with real cheese
Even though they look like fishies
The snack that smiles back, Goldfish!

I miss that jingle, I thought it was cute. But then again, I also thought it was cute when the Spongmonkeys did those Quizno's commercials.

Today I'm having a "professional web designer" for lunch.
                              .
                              .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
