Re: Molokai Ranch closing operations

According to this post in the Molokai Advertiser, not only did the Ranch cut down perfectly good coconut trees that ringed Kaluakoi Golf Course to use as barricades to keep people out, but they also...

Re: Molokai Ranch closing operations

The plans for La'au are not dead. Guoco still is hoping that economic pressure on the community will cause the activists to capitulate. When/if they do and the development of La'au starts, that's...

Re: Hawaii Superferry - Chapter 8

The answer in one word is NO. Alaska Air will be picking up some of the passengers that ATA ferried to Maui beginning in July with direct daily flights from Seattle and Anchorage (seasonally) to OGG...

Re: Hawaii's Interisland Air War - Chapter 5

Take a quick look at who's been buying Mesa stock recently. Seems like the Board of Directors is buying stock at bargain basement rates. Is that what's keeping this stock from tanking completely?

Re: Hawaiian Airlines Signs With Airbus

Many consumers don't try to dig deeper into the stats, Kaukura. That's how lots of companies get away with being "less than 100% truthful" about their claims. One of my biostat profs put it this way:...

Re: Hawaiian Airlines Signs With Airbus

Unfortunately, they gotta go where they can make money, and for at least the next several years, while we weather tough economic times in this country (which means fewer vacations for many...

Re: Hawaii Superferry - Chapter 8

For anybody who cares and is technically inclined, check out the technical details (http://www.islandbreath.org/) on the "rudder" problems of HSF. Also, check out the video (not a computer generated...

Re: Hawaii Superferry - Chapter 8

More vexing than any rumors is the fact that HSF appears to be suffering from some structural defects in its rudder system, and had it not been for KITV asking about it, HSF probably would have...

Re: Toddler thrown onto freeway

Yes, that is PRECISELY the kind of program I mean. And you're right. It may not work with every kid, but I guarantee that every kid who ends up with a "colicky" doll will NEVER forget the experience!...

Re: Toddler thrown onto freeway

First off, teaching about responsible parenting has got to start when the kids are still in school and trainable. I was watching an episode of "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" (Disney channel) where...

Re: Toddler thrown onto freeway

Now is the time for the citizens of Hawaii to speak out about this issue. The feds will be auditing the progress of the Department of Health via their PIP process. This happens every 2 years, and is...

Re: Hawaii Superferry - Chapter 8
