Re: Same-Sex Marriage 2013

I live in Texas, surrounded by Republicans, and the vast majority of my peer group (early 30's) is supportive. In every discussion I've had with people, it's pretty much a case of, "Yeah, cool. Why...

Re: Annoying phrases

"That's what she said!"
Still! 3.5 years after I put it on this list! I especially hate it when you're trying to tell someone something important and they keep interrupting you with this. THIS HAS...

Re: Weird Hawaii Road Signs

The first sign confused me to no end when I first moved. It's in the middle of an intersection with small print and I had to read it about five times.

The second one I saw at a gas station on the...

Re: Are we pau with HT?

No pau for me! I would like to say that if it were not for HT, I would be in a serious world of hurt right now. I had to have last minute surgery this week and Turtle Girl was able to fly out to help...

Re: Aloha from TG and SG!

TG is back in Texas, this time taking care of me! I had minor surgery on Wed and was super lucky that she was available to fly out at a day's notice to be with me. How lucky am I? So Double Trouble...

Re: 8 Glasses of Water a Day

I love water! That's what my mom gave us to drink as kids and that's what I've always chosen. I like it icy cold and I probably drink at least six 24-oz glasses a day. I carry my water bottle with me...

Self Injections

Anybody else have to do these? Is it okay to discuss this? My doctor totally threw me a curve today when I went in to see him. I have to start taking my medication by injection now, which was...

Re: Aloha from TG and SG!

We are now at the tiny, little lake beach we found, watching ducks instead of honu. It s so awesome having TG here! It's been 3 years since we saw each other, but we've just picked right up where we...

Re: Mini flash mob, Hawaiian style!

Is there another link you can post to this, TutuSue? The original isn't working anymore. I was trying to show one of my friends the concept of what you did here, but I can't find it anywhere. :(

Exclamation Re: What are you currently reading?

I need some help, guys. I really would like to read some fiction based in Hawaii (preferably on Oahu, but I'll take whatever is out there) but I can't find any. I know about Murder on Molokai by Chip...

Re: The reasons why you would watch a movie

I didn't see this until just now, but we'd have a great time picking apart movies (perhaps on mute with subtitles) and throwing popcorn at my TV together! Too bad you live so far away...:(

Re: Hawaii #1 in work place meth use

True, but look at how many people who aren't meth addicts don't have jobs and need them badly in this economy- due to layoffs, downsizing, etc. Just something to think about.

Re: Hawaii resident arrested for Utah murder

I think you're perfectly within your rights to call him an actual creep, Tutu. I'd call him a lot more than that, but then again, yesterday I got accused of having a "smart mouth". At least it's...

Re: World Series Fiber Transmission Failure

I'm even watching the games and I never watch sports. It's pretty exciting having the Rangers so close to maybe winning! Any extra rooting floating around out there would be appreciated! ;)

Re: Would you relive your life?

But you had some good times and good places that would be cool to relive. When I moved here, you were doing good. All of our crazy cavorting would be HELLA fun to relive.

Re: Would you relive your life?

Okay, this is one of my biggest wishes- to relive my life with the knowledge I have today. I wouldn't even have to relive all of it. We could just start at the summer between 10th and 11th grade. If...

Re: "Getting Over it"

I've had to take stock of a lot of things in my life in the last year or two, and one of those things is friendships. I've considered each one: what does this person bring to my life? Is it positive...
