I got to thinking, after writing this column, (which I neglected to post earlier -- my apologies), that maybe there's fresh new - old/seasoned talent that would like links for media gigs.

Can you spare a News Director

The column has links to the HAB Web site, which has a job bank with lots o' job listings (local, of course).

You can check Mel's HawaiiRadioTV.com site for links to the Web sites of media outlets that have them and check there for employment opps; you can go to the parent company Web sites and search for employment links, often by market/position; and there's always journalismjobs.com and tvspy.com ... there's also a wealth of information/resources at ajr.org AND there's a ton of journalism-related employment links at http://www.journalism.org/resources/sites/jobs.asp.

Of course, landing the gig is a whole other matter. Good luck!

      Re: Jobs

From Erika's column: "job seekers' enthusiasm can be dampened, if not drowned, by a pending ownership change."

      Ya think?

I once went through a stretch where over two years I had eight bosses at the same company. I outlasted 'em all.

        Re: Jobs

I recently saw on spot on KGMB looking for sales staff.....I think KHNL had being doing this too. Is there really a dearth of capable sales people now?
I know KGMB has gone through many sales people in the last few years.

Good money if you can do it well......
