  • Strange rumblings in Ahuimanu Valley

At first, I thought earthquakes, but these are coming in swarms, every few minutes for the last hour.

    NOT lightning, no storms.

Artillery at KMCAS reflecting off the parabolic mountainside?
Earthquakes? (they are causing light chains to swing, as in the last real earthquake.)

Earthquake sites take time to update. I'll re-check later.

We re still getting thundering booms up in Ahuimanu in Kahalu`u.

    ANY clarification is welcome.

    NOT thunder, NOT quakes. What?

But Schofield Barracks to Kahalu`u? Must have been the 'big guns,' like 175's.
I remember them well from the Nam.

We heard a continuous thundering sound in Waimanalo much of the day on Thursday. Not distinct booms. It sounded like a large jet engine, but it didn't change location like a plane would. I think it was coming from the general direction of Bellows Base.

Now, I'm hearing booms here in Waimanalo. Started sometime after noon (on Friday, 2/20/15).
