i usually use reliable shuttle but they've recently upped the price from $21 to $28 (to and from the airport). it might still be the best deal in town but i wonder if you guys use another service?
thanks

yup, i hear you. in general, i've been happy with reliable shuttle. they pick people up in a van and save by transporting more than one group at a time.
it's possible that the reliable shuttle is still the best deal in town...

There is also the #19 or #20 TheBus. But it is only good if you are carry only a backpack or reasonable sized carryon with you. $2 one way if you don't have a monthly pass. The other bad thing is the timing you have to go really earlier than usual to use TheBus and it's best between 8am to about 8pm.
During the bus strike, I used one of the services. It cost me twelve bucks to go from Kalihi to the airport; I know it was more for longer distances. I'd call around. Also, some of the parking services in the area shuttle you to the airport from off-site parking lots...if nobody else needs your car while you're away, you supposedly can trust them to keep your car safe, and depending on parking rates, that might be cheaper than a cab or shuttle, too.
Let me know today if that option interests you...I drive by one of the services every day, and will get a phone number if you'd like.
