  • "Heroes" - Season 2 on NBC

The second season of Heroes starts on Monday September 24. Since the original Heroes thread had over 300 responses it would be best to discuss the second season of Heroes here. If you want to discuss the first season episodes further the original thread is still open.

What I want to know is why Hiro's idol, Takezo Kensei, is not Japanese but gaijin?

Is Mohinder hell-bent on treating the HEROES superpowers as a genetic disease that needs to be eliminated?

    Will Ando exhibit any power?

Will Parkman's baby exhibit any power?

Will Claire move on with her life or will she search for her biological family, namely Peter and Nathan Petrelli (currently MIA)?

Will Kristen Bell be playing a good HERO or a bad one?

Will Jessica be having more split-personality episodes?

Will there be an Academy for "Gifted Children" for Jessica's son and Molly (the human tracker)?

Will Hiro's first love, Charlie, come back to life? (I missed her.)

Will there be Filipino, Hawaiian, and/or Chinese HEROES?

That's okay. I developed a habit of taping my favorite shows. Tonight, I programmed my VCR for three hours of NBC programming.

My only problem is flipping channels between ABC and CBS. Also a bummer, at 9pm, I'll be flipping between CSI: Miami and KIKU's One Boyfriend Down.

I must have misheard, there are commercial breaks but it's like in a big block of em. It must have been 'limited' commercial breaks...the girls were fussing at each other.

          Kids...

          Gotta love em

'Cause ya can't muzzle and duct tape em to the wall.

David Anders (used to be Mr. Sark in the series Alias) playing Hiro's hero was kind of interesting.

I guess the person who threw off Hiro's dad from the roof is the same person that Molly is dreaming off.

I DVR-ed CHUCK, Heroes, One Boyfriend Down, and the Hills tonight. I just got done with Heroes, and now it's time for last night's KIKU programs. I don't think I'll be getting any sleep this week.

Here I go again with this damn show...one more season of yelling *@#($@#$^!!!! at the TV at "...To Be Continued"

While I liked last night's episode, because I'm a Heroes Junkie, I felt they introduced too many plot points at the same time. My head was spinning trying to keep up with the going ons.

Previews of next week's show seems to make it action packed!

My thought on Hiro and Takezo Kensei... (spoilered for those that didn't see the episode, yet)
My gut tells me Hiro will take up the reins of being the "real" Takezo Kensei. And I hope there's a connecting plot that gives proper reason for Hiro to be in feudal Japan and not just because it's cool and funny.
*edit* Reading the link by alohabear, it seems I may be wrong about Hiro and there will be a real plot tie-in.

A little off topic... I like the concept of Chuck better than Jake 2.0 and Journeyman was pretty interesting. There goes 3 hours on all following Monday nights.

                      TEKEZO KENSEI - (David Anders)

Except, in reality, ''he is a drunk Englishman and a hired hitman, essentially,'' says Anders (Alias). But he does have powers, and when they're revealed, Kring says, ''they'll have major ramifications for the entire Heroes world.''

Any bets on whether Hiro takes over for his 'hero' becoming the Kensei of the legends causing Euro-Kensei (Anders) to get totally torqued and flip over to the big time dark side rather than stay on the small player opportunist side.

Kind of a mutant Hatfield and McCoys...the extreme edition.

Yes, limited commercial breaks... am I the only multi-tasking heroes fan?

I was waiting for the ads so I could finish cooking my dinner, pull a load out of the washer, tidy up and do the million and one other things I usually do while I'm "watching" TV...

With 'limited' ads I ended up missing a lot and now have to watch it again online or catch the replay on Saturday...

Heroes is the kind of show where you really have to pay attention... I never thought I'd say this but BRING BACK THE ADS - I need the breaks or nothing will get done in my house on a Monday night!

He's just a perv that likes floating by the windows of pretty girls. I certainly hope he's not a company plant. It would be too much like Antitrust.

The second episode was stronger than the first, so we're sticking with "Heroes" for the near term. There still seems to be too many threads coming in at once, especially given how frayed things were at the end of Season 1. "Wasn't he dead? Didn't she forget everything? Didn't they meet before? Oh, that was in the flash forward that ultimately didn't happen."

                              It's messy, but still fun.

There should be a Nissan Rogue drinking game (same rules as last year's Nissan Versa drinking game!).
