    Kind of catchy.

It kindof reminds me of an old version of the simpsons, but better. lol.

so do you have a (or any) favorite tv show(s) that you liked a lot when you were younger?? and also don't mind sharing with everyone else here in HT.

Well, since you used a YouTube link, I think this one would have to rank up there as one of my favorites as a kid.

(Anyone see Dexter's Lab tribute to it? It was great!)

Re: TV Shows of yester year...

For discussion of LOCAL Hawaii made TV shows from long ago, be sure to visit the Hawaii Television Memories section of this board. Ongoing threads about "Hawaii Five-0" to "Checkers & Pogo" are posted there. We can use this thread for all other non-Hawaii TV shows.

So what is a TV show from yester year? Something that is not showing up for this new season. A cancelled show from last year or something from long, long ago?

From my long, long ago list, here are a few that I liked:

      Space 1999
Thunderbirds + everything else from the Gerry & Sylvia Anderson stable of TV shows: Fireball XL5, UFO, Captain Scarlett

      The Avengers

Crime Story - one of the best cop shows on TV ever! 2nd season intro.

Seinfeld - one of many classic clips from this long running comedy.

The Starlost - very short lived made in Canada scifi show.

The Monkees - made for TV rock group actually had a string of great songs in the mid to late 60s. NBC comedy.

      Gilligan's Island
      Underdog
      Johnny Quest

      V - the TV series

      Star Trek
      Star Trek The Next Generation
      Star Trek Deep Space 9

Babylon 5 - 2nd season intro; if you like long from story arcs, this TV show has one of the best continuing stories that stretched out for 5 years.

All of the above links are from YouTube. Look at them today because many will probably be gone by tomorrow (video removed).

Too much to mention. But I liked the Brady Bunch because Jan was my age and I thought she was HOT even though she was somewhat psychotic and had issues (eg/ie the black wig episode and Marsha Marsha Marsha!!!).

OMG!!. I forgot about that show "Kikaida" & among many others that you all have mantioned. Sssuuurre brings me back the old days as a child. Those were the days .

There is really no comparison from the really good shows of the past to the present.

Personally, if you ask me, I would prefer to have all of the old good shows come back on TV.

I'm not sure about you all, but that's just me. =)

I'm just such a sucker for old TV shows. =)

                        Get Smart

See, I told you!!. All the good shows that was on TV was showing when we were younger, or atleast when we were all growing up.

Compared to the some of the shows now, ehh, they are ok. I really liked the shows from before, if you ask me.

                        Well..

That's my opnion my two cents. ;-)

Oh by the way... ABC, I think, any way, they are finaly showing that comedy show "8 simple rules" from the guy ( John Ritter) on Threes Company, looong after John Ritter's passing.

Wished they could have aired it while he was still alive. sigh. :-(
                        Pretty funny show too.

Keeping with the Kikaida theme, I surely miss...

GO RANGERS. (Way before the Power Rangers phenom).
                            KAMEN RIDER V3.
HAKAIDA (The Black one was Kikaida's frenemy, but there were also other colors.)
                            ULTRAMAN.

These were my daily 3 p.m. du jour after my Nanny's Channel 7 Soap Opera line-up.

Any cartoon by Max Fleischer rates high on my list. My absolute favorites hail from the 1930's. No, I am not that old, but when I was a kid the early morning cartoons consisted of the theatre cartoons of that era.

I absolutely LOVED this little gem, "Dreamland." I don't know why but it captured me as a kid and I still love it.

Running close seconds are "Dancing on the Moon" and "Small Fry." Catchy tune---if "Small Fry" ever comes up in a karaoke bar I'm your woman.

Watching them transports me back to childhood.
