I know parking is expensive downtown but I have to just deal with it as I am starting an internship this week. I will be near Bethel Street. The firm I am interning with does not offer parking. Bummers!!! I have been fortunate enough to work on the windward side most of my adult life so the idea of paying for parking sucks!! Any ideas of a good and cheap places to park that aren't too far away?? I will be there 1 full day and 2 half days each week. Thanks everyone.

Re: Cheap places to park in downtown??
Here's a list. You can call the various companies for day and half day rates. Towards the end of the list you'll see parking lots (not covered garages) listed on South St. and Queen St. Those are $7-$10/day. Then add a 10-15 min. walk.

Before clicking that "New Thread" button, try a "Search"! See also previous downtown parking threads:That last one isn't about downtown specifically, but is an interesting topic nonetheless.

Re: Cheap places to park in downtown??
This web site listing of downtown parking on hellohonolulu.com mentioned in one of the parking threads above is in dire need of updating. The first 5 'map it' links lead to the same location! I got bored of checking after that!

Just take TheBus.
Plus, will some of us willing to put up with the smell/odor in the bus, especially when homeless people catch the bus too (& haven't taken a shower for weeks ).
Sometimes one can always be better than the other (when it comes to transportation) .
Or just walk it if you can. Kind of like one of my hubby's friends,
he just walks it all over (as his transportation) .Aches & Pains
(through out our lives) knows no time!!.

Yes, I too sit next to them when I ride the Bus. Lucky for me I don't have the sense of smell anymore. But when I did...I didn't look down upon them. Instead my heart went out to them. You see Serenity, I was like them.
